Superintendent/Principal’s Message
I am excited to return as the Superintendent/Principal of Glenn Public School. We are the oldest continuously operating rural school district in the state of Michigan; we have been in operation since 1854! This Kindergarten through 5th-grade nature-rich school boasts amazing students and staff. The connections between the school and community are essential to growing good citizens.
Prior to this administrator position, I was the Upper Elementary teacher, Summer School Teacher, Physical Education teacher, paraprofessional, and after-school coordinator at Glenn; all since coming here in 2010. I received my Bachelor of Science degree from Grand Valley State University in Physical Education with a minor in Elementary Education. I also received my Master’s in Educational Leadership from Grand Valley State University. I received my Central Office endorsement from the Horizon Leadership Academy through the Michigan Association of Superintendents & Administrators.
I am and have been involved in many volunteer opportunities. I am the Membership Chairperson for the Fennville/Pullman/Lakeshore Rotary. I also sit on a few scholarship committees for high school seniors. I am a former Court Appointed Special Advocate with Safe Harbor. I also served on the Foster Care Review Board for Allegan, Ottawa, and Van Buren Counties. I sat on the Bloomingdale Public Schools School board and Van Buren County Association of School Boards for several years.
I enjoy cooking and baking especially for my family. I look forward to spending time with my fiance, Ray, who is an over-the-road truck driver. I also like hanging out with my son, Seth, who is a chef. I am the oldest of 4 girls and the aunt to 3 nieces and 1 nephew.
